FAQ

Readings

  • All readings are conducted online over Zoom. The Zoom link for your session will be included in your confirmation email.

  • No, you don't need to have a webcam. Zoom allows users to just use audio if you don't have a webcam or if you'd prefer not to be on camera.

I'll have my own video turned on by default, but I'm happy to turn it off if it makes you more comfortable.

  • Yes, I can record our session to the cloud and share the link with you afterwards.

Alternatively, if you join from a computer, Zoom will allow you to record and save the session to your computer.

  • No, I only read for adults who are present and consenting, so I won't look at the charts of other people during our session.

I also don't currently offer synastry readings though I may in future.

That said, if you'd like to discuss the topics of love or parenting through the lens of your own natal chart, I'd be excited to explore those topics with you.

  • Readings are usually the most insightful and helpful when we come to the chart with a specific question or theme that we want to explore. Often this happens naturally when a specific life event crops up or we want to reflect on the past or future at a regular interval.

For most people, this will mean having a reading every six months to a year.

Sometimes when I begin seeing a new client, they may want to have two or three readings closer together as we take a deep dive into the natal chart, but after that, we usually space regular readings farther out.

  • While I’m based in Canada, most of my clients are in the United States. If ever the balance of my clientele shifts to more folks in Canada, I’ll revisit this decision.

Rescheduling, Cancellation & No-Shows

  • Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled up to 48 hours before your appointment time using the link in your confirmation email.

  • If you're running late, please contact me and let me know by email as soon as possible.

Due to other commitments and sessions in my day, a late start will likely mean a shortened reading.

If you don't contact me and are more than 15 minutes late, I'll end the Zoom meeting. It'll be considered a no-show, and your appointment will not be rescheduled or refunded.

General

  • My practice is rooted in Hellenistic astrology, an ancient tradition that flourished in the Mediterranean region from roughly the first century BCE until the seventh century CE. With the broader availability of translated texts today, this approach is experiencing a resurgence. I'm personally drawn to its structured framework, which allows me to be both methodical and creative in chart interpretation.

That said, in specific contexts, I do incorporate components outside the Hellenistic tradition. For example, I use outer planets in natal chart readings if there are close aspects or if an outer is transiting a personal planet.

  • Earthlight is the sunlight that reflects off the Earth's surface back out into space. It can sometimes be seen softly illuminating the dark side of a crescent Moon.

This concept mirrors my experience of astrology: as earthly, earthbound beings, we gaze out into the cosmos, and though subtle at first, we see ourselves reflected back.

Plus, I like that the name nods to my earth- and fire-heavy chart.

  • Since we're all sharing...

In my natal chart, the Sun is in Aries, the Moon is in Taurus, and the Ascendant is in Virgo.

The Waning Phase: A Reading for Death & Grief

  • People seek death-focused astrological readings for many different, deeply personal reasons. Often, it’s about finding meaning and understanding after a profound loss.

For some people, looking at the chart of a loved one’s passing can bring a sense of context to an event that otherwise feels random, confusing or unfinished. A reading like this may help someone process grief, reflect on their relationship, understand significant timing, find a symbolic narrative or honour their loved one.

Importantly, these readings are not about predicting death or explaining it away. Instead, they offer a reflective, symbolic lens that some may find comforting, insightful or helpful as they navigate loss.

  • Astrological readings are not a replacement for grief counseling, therapy or other forms of mental health support.

While a reading can offer a symbolic and reflective perspective on loss, it is not designed to treat grief, trauma, or mental health concerns. Grief is complex, and many people benefit from the care and guidance of trained counselors, therapists or grief support professionals.

Astrology can serve as a complementary reflective practice, but it should be approached as one supportive tool among many and not as a substitute for professional care.

  • When grieving, everyone’s timeline is different, but I recommend waiting at least six months after a loss.

This reading is meant to support meaning-making and reflection rather than the earliest stages of grief. Waiting at least six months helps ensure the experience feels supportive and spacious instead of overwhelming.
